Our ancestors have tried to popularize various other sports but failed in their attempt. Some games like Gilli-Danda, Kancha, Chain, Langdi, etc. were left out to be played only on the Indian streets. These games never obtained any dominant status. Neither did anyone tried to make modifications in the tools and disciplines of these games. Yet one may still find the links of these games in the village areas. Every game has its own way and its own fun so we should try to make these games popular among people. Earlier, the game of kabaddi was also not considered as a national level game, but with the initiative of people, it got recognition. Sports and games are a necessary part of life; one should also participate in sports and should also make earnest efforts to make the people aware about the various important aspects they have. Fun with learning this is what the basic concept of sports is. And being an Indian, this is our obligation to take all the gold and trophies for our mother.
